 Bill Baggitt founded the Events Agency in 2008.

Bill Baggitt founded and is Managing Director of the Events Agency. He is a highly experienced communicator, strategist, executive producer and program developer with senior international experience in corporate, arts and government.

 

The Events Agency developed and owns the Sydney Business Awards, the most successful business awards program in Australia based on participation. The Awards has more than doubled in size in its four years, and has established a highly regarded brand standing for integrity, transparency, and over-delivering to all stakeholders. 

 

The Events Agency also produces and programs the highly successful City of Sydney Let’s Talk Business educational series and, also working with the City of Sydney, produced the C-level executive China Summit Conference.


Before founding The Event Agency, Bill was Director of Business Development at the Sydney Festival, where he was responsible for more than $7M in sponsorship and government funding relationships from State, City and Federal statutory authorities.

 

Bill also held senior international media and communications roles during a 15 year career with Time Warner International and CNN. Bill was Vice President and Managing Editor for CNN International Asia Pacific based in Hong Kong, and Managing Director of CNN International Financial News EMEA in London. Bill was also News Director for CNN Financial News global operations based in New York, and a reporter and producer for CNN domestic.
